Please explain drivetrain horsepower and whp? and also have some question about performance air filters.?

Hi, im still studying about cars, but here are some confusion, im currently driving a Nissan Maxima, and it is stated at 222hp, im guessing it's to the drivetrain... anyone have an estimate on how much whp it would be?

And another question, everytime i get an oil change, they would change my air filter, saying i would get better mileage everytime i change the air filter. But my question is, If i purchase and k%26amp;n performance filter, which increases the HP, would that mean my MPG will decrease?

Thanks in advance. Please explain drivetrain horsepower and whp? and also have some question about performance air filters.?The HP loss through the drive train can be 10%-20% depending on the type of transmission and type of car. I don't know what it is for the Nissan Maxima. So, presumably, you have at least less than 200hp to the wheel. Please explain drivetrain horsepower and whp? and also have some question about performance air filters.?your mpg will be better when you buy a K %26amp; N air filter. your air flow will be a lot better, meaning more MPG and also HP :)

a good thing about K %26amp; N is that you dont have to replace most of them.. just take out the filter and wash it off.
