Ok so everytime I go to my girl friends apartment and come home my apartment reeks of wood or something. I clean on a regular basis, change my air filter, and use candles and plugins. All it does is mask the smell. I can't get rid of it. The smell really annoys me and makes me wonder if other people can smell it when they come to my home. Failing that, I have had success using vinegar to rid my apartment of unwanted odours. Place about half a cup of vinegar in a shallow bowl or saucer in affected rooms - works really well to get rid of cigarette odours and that morning after the party smell too.
