Should i change K&N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?

I already bought the K%26amp;N air filter for VW vr6 but i was debating whether i should buy the cold air intake instead and how much differe nce would the cold air make as oppose to changing the stock airfilter into a K%26amp;N.

ThanksShould i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?i own a repair shop, and you can actually just change the filter and it will help it a lot ,and its cheaper than doing the whole intake system,,on some cars if you change the whole system you,ll get trouble codes from the mass air flow sensor,,so id just change the filter part of it,,that will help it,,you,ll notice better acceleration on it ,right off,and it should improve mileage a lot also,,but id try that first, good luck with it,hope this help,s.happy new years.Should i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?yor welcome.

Should i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?It doesn't make much difference. Stick with the filter only and save your money.Should i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?The K%26amp;N filter in the stock intake makes a nice difference in power and driveability. The cold air system is loud and will become increasingly annoying as time goes by.Should i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?I agree with Dodge Man. Unless you are boosting the engine (supercharging or turbocharging) the cold air intake is pretty much a waste.Should i change K%26amp;N airfilter only or get the whole cold air intake kit? is worth it ?check this site out. HTTP://WWW.VWVORTEX.COM .. I am also a member and will answer all your VW questions and performance needs. You will actually notice more of a difference with cold air intake on your non forced induction engine then a turbo or supercharged engine. The reason for this is that with a turbo or supercharger the air is compressed and in turn heats the incoming air, making it pointless getting a cold air intake cause you are heating the air. If you are into car performance you will be happy with the sound and gains from the cold air intake(CAI).
