Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?

ive been trying to start my 1995 GMC Jimmy but it wont turn over. the battery is completely fine and the fuel pump turns on for a few seconds when i insert the key. the car starts easily when i spray starter fluid into the intake. the jimmy is a four wheel drive V6. recently changed the air filter, spark plugs are fine, intake is clean...no buildup whatsoever. please send me address to any other forums or sites that i would get helpful answers out of.Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?You stated that you hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds when you turn the key on. This is normal but does NOT mean it is giving you any fuel PRESSURE.

I have seen many fuel pumps that run but do NOT have any or enough pressure. Have the Fuel pressure tested. There is a service port on the fuel line at the back of the engine just for this purpose. A 95 Jimmy should have 4 to 10 PSI of fuel pressure.

Verifying that you have spark is also a good suggestion.Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?use a jumper that might workDo you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?Well, it sounds like a fuel issue, so I would check injectors, Fuel pump (i know you said you hear it, but that doesn't ean it works), fuel lines, and first and foremost make sure you have gas in the tank.Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?The spark plugs may be fine, but are you gettin spark. If the crank or cam sensors fail this will prevent the sparkplugs from gettin spark thus the vehicle not starting. When trying to trouble shoot starting issues you always want to make sure your gettin fuel to injectors or carb., spark, and air.Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?Check the emergency fuel shutoff switch. If this has failed or been activated by some means you may be able to reset it. There is a way to jumper the switch in emergencies, but it is not recommended.Do you have any idea what my problem may be and how i could fix it?sounds like its losing fuel pressure. test the fuel pump for pressure, it might be the gas cap or the gas filter.
