I have a 2.5 altima with a smaller size (in length) APC pod filter without a custom metal pipe. If I were to change the filter to a longer one, would it make much of a difference in power, mileage, etc.? Also, I didn't change my piping because it seems really complicated, removing all the sensors and putting them in another pipe. how much of a difference would it make of I did put a metal pipe on? The K%26amp;N will give you a considerable performance boost.Custom air filter?Rivers answer is somewhat true. Im not that familiar with your exact car but it all depends on how restrictive the factory piping is. But since you did say APC i would say its not worth it. There is a reason they went out of buisness. And on making the filter longer.....I doubt you will see any increase of power at all.. Hope that helps!
