How do I change the air filter on a 1995 Nissan Maxima?

I have to change the air filter on my car because its cutting off occasionally due to dirt and air getting through to my engine. This is actually my first time doing this so can anyone explain to me how the put a new filter in? I know it shouldnt be that hard but I'd like to know so I can be prepared in the future. How do I change the air filter on a 1995 Nissan Maxima?First of all air should get through to your engine, second of all a dirty air filter shouldn't be letting any dirt through, it should still be filtering the air although air flow would be restricted. If it is really that bad the air filter is the least of your worries because you probably haven't done much of the scheduled maintenance.
